This is one the first shots with my new macro lens and I am truly shocked! This is a spider web from our garage!
I do not know how to express my feelings about this picture except that I am utterly impressed. Hopefully I will be able to repeat this experience and amaze myself again.
N.B. Oh, and please click on the picture to see it in more detail.

Here yet another evening sky photo from me. I could not resist the temptation since the clouds were that pretty.
Having said that, you may see more of close-up photos in the near future. I just received my 90mm f2.8 1:1 macro lens. It is a pity that the weather is getting colder and insects and such cannot be taken pictures of so easily. This probably means that I will be publishing close-ups of flowers…
Stairs in Raseborg Castle

Wikipedia article is using this Swedish form Raseborg for the castle name. So be it in this blog entry, but us Finnish speaking folks would rather use the Finnish language form, i.e. Raasepori.
These newish stairs fit very well and are even intriguing to look at. In the 16th century when the castle was abandoned it must have look different.

Greetings from the Mustio manor. I visited it today for the first time and it was a very pleasant surprise. Great manor, great park (or arboretum if you will). Early 20th century they were the richest in the whole Finland and that still shows. Some more pics on their website: http://www.mustionlinna.fi/en/welcome.
